Windows Wii U Gamecube USB driver version 3 is now live!

Version 3 is now fully released!

Check it out!

I have been fiddling with this for a few months after the dolphin devs released native support for the USB adapter that broke the universal driver's functionality on installation (their instructions required you to overwrite my libUSB driver with libUSB's implementation of winUSB).

The biggest change here is probably that the driver is no longer dependent on unsigned driver mode to work in Windows 8. Zadig was the major driver behind this, as it lets you install a  winUSB filter without a certification.

I do still have some more ideas for future versions, but none of them are as pressing as this one was. Most of the main issues I can think of are resolved at this point, pretty much anything I can add now beyond random bugfixes will be gravy.

That awkward intro post

I am setting up this blog so I can more easily publish and publicize the random projects/cool things I make/do.

Hopefully it will allow them some better exposure than random reddit release threads.

The first one (the Windows Wii U Gamecube adapter driver) is already there, even if it's not (yet) content heavy.

That's all for now, enjoy this happy fox.
